P6/7
Autumn Week Fun
We have had a fantastic time enjoying a range of fun autumn activities just before we finish for half-term.
From getting creative with autumn-themed art to trying their hand at some delicious cookery, and of course, enjoying the all-time favourite s'mores, there has been plenty of fun, creativity and laughter along the way!
Connecting Generations
Some of our Primary 7 pupils recently took part in a wonderful Connecting Generations event at the Old Benburb School, organised by the Benburb Community District Association. Pupils from several local primary schools came together with adults from the local community to share stories, experiences and memories. The children really enjoyed listening to the older members of their community and learning about how life was different when they were growing up compared to life for young people today.
P6/7 had great fun outside practicing their rounding skills. They had to work out the answer for rounding an amount and then throw their quoit into a hoop with the correct answer.
P6/7 have been multiplying and dividing whole numbers by 10, 100 and 1000. They took part in practical activities to demonstrate how the digits move places. The children enjoyed getting outside to participate in some of these activities.
P6/7 have been learning all about homophones. To make themselves more familiar with them, they worked in small groups to match the homophones with their corresponding pictures.
Our P6/7 pupils are all looking very smart and are ready to begin another year of school. Welcome back everyone!
P6/7 started the year with some fun games to practice their multiplication and division skills. They loved working in groups to do this!
